mINI mINDFUL PROGRAM
INTRO
In this interactive play-based program, children will discover their secret superpower the power of their breath. Guiding children through safe mindful breathing games, I teach them how to become aware of their breath, body and feelings were they can begin to understand how to recognize emotions and acknowledge them.
Children will be given a brief introduction to what mindfulness is and how they can use it in their lives; we then get moving with fun animal yoga poses from the story and some interactive games, we end this part of the session with a short mindful meditation of the breath.
By now, the children are relaxed and calm, and I provide a reading of the chosen story to them. Afterward, children are encouraged to ask questions about the story and the session.
children are provided with a bookmark along with an activity to take home. For example, mindful coloring, create your own story, breathing card, or a mindfulness game card. I discuss this when placing your booking on which package option you would like.
In conclusion, children will walk away, feeling inspired, calm, and connected. They are learning life skills to utilize the power of breath, bring awareness to their thoughts and emotions, and to help them in their everyday lives whenever they need to access these beautiful tools.
